The Armenian St. Sarkis church, in Texas has been named “US Building of the Year 2022”

The St. Sarkis Armenian church, in Carrollton, Texas, designed by the New York architect David Hotson, has been named “US Building of the Year 2022” in a survey promoted by World-Architects, the selected network of architecture professionals.

The characterizing element of the whole project is the façade of the church, the powerful commemorative monument to the 1.5 million victims of the 1915 Armenian genocide. The tiles of the façade were made by Fiandre Architectural Surfaces using the exact number of pixels required, and customised using the innovative tailor-made and ultra-high resolution decoration technology Design your Slabs. The façade was installed by Graniti Vicentia Façades using the ventilated façade system patented by Granitech.

In addition to the façade, Fiandre supplied the ceramic surfaces for the internal and external walls and floors throughout the St Sarkis complex, exploiting the wide range of thicknesses and textures available in the Fjord collection.
